Michael has represented the Kessingland and Southwold division on Suffolk County Council since May 2013 and was SCC Chairman in 2018.
Working for Adnams plc for over 40 years, Michael has been involved in local issues for many years and after being elected to Southwold Town Council in 1990 he has been Mayor on four occasions. Michael was a Waveney District Councillor from 2011 until 2019 and was Cabinet member for Economic Development and Tourism.
