Patti Mulcahy has been a Suffolk resident for 24 years. She has a BSc in Marketing/Transportation which lead to a 20-year career in the logistics and airline industries. With a keen interest in nature, there were further studies in Garden Design leading to the creation of her current business, Lilac Thyme, a flower shop located at Woodbridge Railway Station. She has first-hand knowledge of the current challenges of running a small independent business and the support needed going forward.
In 2010, Patti became the Constituency Assistant for Dr Therese Coffey MP and assisted Dr Coffey in helping address a wide range of constituent’s concerns for a further three years.
Patti was then elected to represent Woodbridge and Martlesham as a Suffolk Coastal District Councillor from 2015-2019. During that time, she supported many local youth and senior organizations with her Community Enabling budget. She was a strong voice in putting forward resident’s concerns on local planning applications. She was a member of the Sizewell C task force, so is well versed in the issues and challenges faced with the proposed building.
Her priorities are to ensure continued strong support for essential services, especially social care and transport, and to protect the environment, the divisions’ outstanding ANOB areas and open spaces ensuring the villages in the division can maintain their unique identities.
